World AIDS Day observed at Lyallpur Khalsa College for Women, Jalandhar
Lyallpur Khalsa College for Women is an institution which believes in producing global citizens. For this the students need to be not only academically sound but must also be awared about the current issues. Continuing with this legacy, the NSS unit along with the Red Ribbon Club organised a Seminar on HIV/AIDS Awareness to observe World AIDS Day in the college premises. The resource person for the occasion was Mr. Sukhi Bath, Social Worker and a Philanthropist. Mr. Bath in his address explained the students and the staff members about the above topic. He explained in detail how being aware can help us fight the deadly disease. He also lectured the various ways and precautions that we can inculcate in our daily lives. He also urged the gathering to contribute through every way possible towards HIV and AIDS Awareness. In this regards Madam Principal Dr. Navjot acknowledged Mr. Sukhi Bath for sparing his time to address the LKCW fraternity. She also thanked him for the efforts he is putting in to spread awareness about the perilous disease. Madam also appreciated the efforts of NSS and Red Ribbon Club for their joint endeavour.
