EXTENSION LECTURE ORGANISED ON INDIAN CONSTITUTION
The epitome of women empowerment Lyallpur Khalsa College for Women’s Dept. of Political Science, NSS and Red Ribbon Club organised an Extension Lecture on the topic Indian Constitution on December 03, 2019 in the college premises. This lecture was delivered by Dr. Davinderpal Kherra Head, Dept. of Political Science. Addressing the student she explained the Constitution by Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, its rights, importance and need. She motivated the students to follow the principals as dictated by the Constitution as secularism, national integration and unity. It is only because of these rights that each and every citizen of India belonging to any cast, creed o religion is able to express his thoughts freely and in a democratic way. The audience was also apprised that political, religion, economic, legal rights and equity are attained through our laws only. Madam Kherra also urged the students to abide by the Indian Constitution in every regards. In this view Madam Principal Dr. Navjot expressed the need that the students must be knowledgeable about their rights as mentioned, so that they are aware to protect themselves in today’s scenario. Madam also inspired the students that they must be acquainted about their virtues and rights. Madam Principal acknowledged the endeavour of Dr. Davinderpal Kherra and appreciated the efforts of NSS programme officers and Madam Manjit, Incharge of Red Ribbon Club for laying out such activities in the college premises.
