The NACO Club of Lyallpur Khalsa College for Women, Jalandhar organised an informative and to educate the students about the causes, prevention, and social implications of the disease. The session was conducted by the esteemed resource person, Dr. Shivya Thakur (MBBS, MD), HOD and Consultant Microbiologist at Fortis Hospital, Jalandhar. Dr. Thakur delivered an insightful talk highlighting the modes of transmission, preventive measures, myths and misconceptions related to HIV/AIDS, and the importance of early diagnosis and treatment. She also emphasized the need to eradicate stigma and discrimination associated with their disease and encouraged the students to adopt responsible and informed health practices. Principal Madam Dr. Sarabjit Kaur Rai appreciated the efforts of the organisers- Mrs. Harmohini, Mrs. Manjit Kaur, Ms. Aatma Singh, Dr. Sarabjit Kaur, and Ms. Simerdeep Kaur, for successfully conducting such a meaningful and socially relevant programme.
