STUDENT RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR COLLEGE PREMISES

1. Introduction

The College is committed to providing a safe, disciplined, and conducive environment for learning and personal development. All students are required to comply with the following rules and regulations while on campus and during all college-related activities.

2. Student Code of Conduct

  • Students shall maintain high standards of discipline, honesty, and integrity.
  • Respect towards facunts shall refrain from any behavior that disrupts academic activities or damages the reputation of the institution.
  • Acts of violence, intimidation, harassment, or misconduct are strictly prohibited.

3. Attendance and Academic Responsibility

  • A minimum 75  % attendance is required to appear in end semester examination.
  • Students must attend all lectures, practical classes, tutorials, workshops, and seminars.
  • Leave preceding or following long vacation or for days when special functions are held will be granted only by the principal. A letter from father or guardian must accompany with an application.
  • A students should apply for leave when it is absolutely necessary. She should secure it personally before it is availed of except in case of illness when leave application with a medical certificate must be submitted immediately on her return to the college.
  • Students are responsible for completing assignments, projects, and academic submissions on time.

4. Identity Card Policy

  • Students must carry their College Identity Card at all times while on campus.
  • The Identity Card must be produced upon request by authorized personnel.
  • Loss of an Identity Card must be reported immediately to the administration.

5. Dress Code and Personal Appearance

  • Students must maintain a neat and professional appearance.
  • Department-specific uniforms, if prescribed, must be worn during designated hours.
  • Clothing displaying offensive language, symbols, or inappropriate content is prohibited.

6. Classroom Discipline

  • Students shall enter classrooms before the commencement of lectures.
  • Mobile phones must remain on silent mode during academic sessions.
  • Eating, sleeping, or causing disturbances during classes is prohibited.
  • Students must obtain permission before leaving the classroom during lectures.

7. Examination Rules

  • Students must report to examination halls at least 15 minutes before the scheduled time.
  • Possession of unauthorized materials, electronic devices, or notes is strictly prohibited.
  • Malpractice, cheating, impersonation, or unfair means shall result in disciplinary action.
  • Students must follow all instructions issued by invigilators.

8. Library Regulations

  • Silence and discipline must be maintained inside the library.
  • Library resources shall be used responsibly.
  • Borrowed books must be returned within the prescribed period.
  • Damage to library materials will attract penalties.

9. Use of Technology and Internet

  • College internet facilities shall be used only for educational and authorized purposes.
  • Accessing illegal, offensive, or inappropriate content through college resources is prohibited.
  • Students shall not engage in hacking, unauthorized access, or misuse of digital resources.

10. Social Media Policy

  • Students must use social media responsibly.
  • Posting false, defamatory, abusive, or harmful content about the College, faculty, staff, or students is prohibited.
  • Students shall not share confidential college information without authorization.
  • Online behavior that damages the institution’s reputation may result in disciplinary action.

11. Anti-Ragging Policy

  • Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited.
  • Any student involved in ragging shall face severe disciplinary action, including suspension or expulsion.
  • Complaints regarding ragging shall be addressed immediately by the Anti-Ragging Committee.

12. Anti-Harassment Policy

  • Harassment, bullying, discrimination, stalking, or intimidation is strictly prohibited.
  • Every student has the right to study in a safe and respectful environment.
  • Complaints may be submitted confidentially through designated grievance channels.

13. Prohibition of Alcohol, Drugs, and Tobacco

  • Consumption, possession, distribution, or influence of alcohol, narcotics, tobacco products, or prohibited substances is strictly forbidden on campus.
  • Violators may face suspension, expulsion, and legal proceedings.

14. Campus Cleanliness and Environmental Protection

  • Students must maintain cleanliness throughout the campus.
  • Littering, vandalism, and defacement of property are prohibited.
  • Students are encouraged to participate in environmental sustainability initiatives.

15. Hostel Rules

  • Hostel residents must observe prescribed entry and exit timings.
  • Visitors are allowed only as per hostel regulations.
  • Possession of prohibited items within hostel premises is forbidden.
  • Hostel property must be maintained properly.
  • Noise levels should be kept to a minimum to avoid disturbing other residents.

16. Transportation and Parking Rules

  • Vehicles must be parked only in designated parking areas.
  • Driving within campus shall be done carefully and in accordance with speed limits.
  • Students must possess valid driving licenses and vehicle documents.
  • The College shall not be responsible for loss or damage to vehicles parked on campus.

16. Safety and Security

  • Students must comply with all security procedures.
  • Unauthorized access to restricted areas is prohibited.
  • Emergency exits and safety equipment must not be tampered with.
  • Any suspicious activity must be reported immediately.

18. Property and Infrastructure

  • Students shall take proper care of college property.
  • Any damage caused intentionally or through negligence shall be recoverable from the responsible student.
  • Theft or unauthorized removal of college property is prohibited.

19. Student Grievance Redressal

  • Students may submit complaints or grievances through official channels.
  • The College shall ensure fair and timely resolution of grievances.
  • Retaliation against complainants is strictly prohibited.

20. Disciplinary Actions

Depending on the severity of the violation, disciplinary action may include:

  • Expulsion from the institution
  • Legal action where applicable

21. Amendments and Compliance

  • The College reserves the right to amend these rules from time to time.
  • Students are expected to remain informed about updates and comply with all institutional regulations.

Every student admitted to the College is deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these rules and regulations. Failure to comply may result in disciplinary action as deemed appropriate by the College authorities.
